My name is Anya Aziz, and I am a senior in high school with a strong interest in cultural memory, oral history, and community storytelling. I created this project to preserve the personal narratives, songs, and reflections that often get lost over time—especially those connected to identity, migration, and the 1971 Liberation War.
As I learned more about cultural history, I realized how much of it is held in families rather than textbooks. Grandparents’ memories, songs passed down across continents, stories of resilience, these are forms of knowledge that deserve to be recorded and shared.
This archive is my contribution to that effort.
I hope it becomes a meaningful resource for anyone who wants to honor their past, learn about others, or preserve their family’s story for future generations.
